I have a NSLU2 providing audio for my multi-room audio system. It has a USB 1.0 hub attached and three CMedia USB audio adapters plugged into it. These USB devices consistently crash once or twice per day but then restart without problem. I have dozens of these crash/restarts in my log. The system runs 24/7 with music being streamed to the devices continuously. I control the audible music in the rooms by controlling the amp which is attached after the USB audio devices. jonsmirl@NSLU2:/var/log$ uname -a Linux NSLU2 2.6.18-5-ixp4xx #1 Thu Aug 30 16:47:13 UTC 2007 armv5tel GNU/Linux Jan 15 20:59:21 NSLU2 -- MARK -- Jan 15 21:19:21 NSLU2 -- MARK -- Jan 15 21:39:22 NSLU2 -- MARK -- Jan 15 21:42:26 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.1: USB disconnect, address 84 Jan 15 21:42:27 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.3: USB disconnect, address 85 Jan 15 21:42:27 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.4: USB disconnect, address 86 Jan 15 21:42:27 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1: reset full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 74 Jan 15 21:42:27 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 87 Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: input: C-Media USB Headphone Set as /class/input/input79 Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: input: USB HID v1.00 Device [C-Media USB Headphone Set ] on usb-0000:00:01.1-1.1 Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.3: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 88 Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: input: C-Media USB Headphone Set as /class/input/input80 Jan 15 21:42:28 NSLU2 kernel: input: USB HID v1.00 Device [C-Media USB Headphone Set ] on usb-0000:00:01.1-1.3 Jan 15 21:42:29 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.4: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 89 Jan 15 21:42:29 NSLU2 kernel: usb 2-1.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Jan 15 21:42:29 NSLU2 kernel: input: C-Media USB Headphone Set as /class/input/input81 Jan 15 21:42:29 NSLU2 kernel: input: USB HID v1.00 Device [C-Media USB Headphone Set ] on usb-0000:00:01.1-1.4 Jan 15 21:59:22 NSLU2 -- MARK -- Jan 15 22:19:23 NSLU2 -- MARK -- Jan 15 22:39:23 NSLU2 -- MARK -- -- Jon Smirl jonsmirl@xxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
