Is it still working with 2.6.21? You should make sure, because it's
possible that something in the _camera_ has broken. And if 2.6.21 is
still working, you might want to check out 2.6.22, just to try and
find exactly when the breakage occurred.

You have to provide more information. Start by turning on
CONFIG_USB_DEBUG and sending the dmesg log.

By the way, 2 or 3 iterations would have been enough to get the idea
