The patch content looks good, but the patch itself got mangled
in two ways:

 - It wouldn't apply with "patch -p1" since you set it up
   to apply with "patch -p0".

 - Something, probably your emailer, mangled it in two common
   ways:  line wrapping, and turning tabs into spaces.

I'll be submitting an updated patch.
