/sys/class/scsi_generic and scsi_tape

Hi,

The device entries under /sys/class/scsi_generic and scsi_tape are now 
symbolic links and no more directories. This breaks now some backup products. 
Is it possible to override this with some rules to set it back to directories 
and not symbolic links?
