query [ stgt exist inside kernel ]

Hi,

I read artical in scst home page and found the following statement.
Statement : 2.6.38+ kernels successfully have both STGT and LIO. [ correct ? ]

There are contraditory statement found at internet regarding STGT exist in kernel. So please verify the above and provide the details.
