kernel panic - not syncing

Hi,
I have installed BLCR from repository (also libcr-dev) on ubuntu 10.04 
server amd64 edition with kernel 2.6.32-24-server. After inserting the 
module into kernel with "modprobe blcr", I get kernel panic error.
