Relation between tcp_syncookies and tcp_max_syn_backlog | |

Hi!Some documentations [1] say that there is a relation between tcp_syncookies and tcp_max_syn_backlog. The official documentation (ip-sysctls.txt) does not say such a thing. I have also looked at net/ipv4/syncookies.c and I did not find anything about this. In net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4, I also understand that tcp_max_sync_backlog value is only used if syncookies are disabled. Could someone confirm me that those variables are unrelated?
Thanks![1] http://www.frozentux.net/ipsysctl-tutorial/chunkyhtml/tcpvariables.html#AEN398
