What were the reasons of having IP address at AX.25 interfaces ? | |

Can anybody remember, why AX.25 interfaces in Linux kernel are enforced to have IP addresses by tools such as KISSATTACH ? I can well understand that the IP address is OPTIONAL, but not that it is MANDATORY. This came up as I am going over all related tools, and wondering their behaviour justifications. 73 de Matti, OH2MQK - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-hams" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
