The martian version of the software for does not support fax.
You will need to use the software package providing the ltmodem_ltserial pair.
It can be downloaded from our linmodems site, or Tony may send it.

Note that fax with software modems is often not robust.
For most robust service you should get one of the slightly more
expensive modems with a Controller Chip on the modem card itself, also
so called "hardware modems".
