Arthur,

Please disconnect all the USB cables during bootup.
After bootup, attach only the modem.
Then run:
$ dmesg > dmesg.txt
$ echo >> dmesg.txt
the >> means append, rather than replace
$ lsmod >> dmesg.txt

and send us the dmesg.txt
