Hello

I'm running on UBUNTU server 10.04 since few days I'm trying to use this
modem :

ID 047e:2892 Agere Systems, Inc. (Lucent) Systems Soft Modem

I've tried to install the agrsm driver using the tar.bz but I'm still
blocking by this :
"Pas de rÃgle pour fabriquer la cible  kernel/bounds.c Â, nÃcessaire
pour  kernel/bounds.s Â. ArrÃt"
so I've tried to use the deb file (agrsm-11c11040_20091225_i386.deb) and
the install was made.
I've modprobed the two modules agrserial and agrmodem without error and
the devices /dev/ttyAGS3 and /dev/SAGR were created.
It should be fine for the moment..
When I try :
sudo wvdialconf
I've this answer :

pem@passerelle:~/Modem$ sudo wvdialconf
Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'.

Scanning your serial ports for a modem.

ttyS0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.

ttySAGR<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 115200 baud
ttySAGR<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.
ttySHSF0<Info>: Device or resource busy
Modem Port Scan<*1>: SHSF0 SHSF1 SHSF2 SHSF3 SHSF4

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?

Please read the FAQ at http://open.nit.ca/wiki/?WvDial

If you still have problems, send mail to <wvdial-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx>.
pem@passerelle:~/Modem$

I've read post witch purpose tu change grub options with acpi=off and
disable the bios sound option without result..

Does anybody could help me please?

Perhaps this modem don't work at all with this driver?

I apologies for my poor English...
Best regards
