people operate on instinct....thats good to know...i'll just shut down
my higher brain functions right now and be part of the crowd.

Hey I'm not suggesting you are above or below average intelligence...but
considering that car manufacturers are still selling lots of cars
without this level of UI consistancy its hard to believe that the
average adult out there NEEDS the level of conformity you desperately
crave.  Maybe you have a hint of an obsessive compulsive disorder that
you are not aware of. Or maybe you are really intelligent...I know some
really way out there on another plane of existance  super smart people
who probably can't handle changing wiper blade locations...but I would
certainly not design a car around either personality extreme.  Normal
people don't NEED this level of conformity to operate several different
vehicles.
