System Tools ---> Disk Management. Hardware: LS-120 superdisk drive /dev/hdb; mount point = /mnt/ls120.0 Problem: could not format at VFAT or MSDOS. There would be some disk activity (1.44 Mb diskette, or LS-120 superdisk), but the contents were not erased. Today (under KDE) I was able to format a standard floppy as ext2. Strange behavoir with the Disk Management tool, though: If I do "unmount" I could still open the /mnt/ls120.0 folder. If I do "mount" I could still manually eject the disk. Normally, the mounted disk should be *locked*. Has anyone elsem used the disk management tool to format a disk or partition?
