NASA CELEBRATES SPACE DAY WITH THE SPACE COAST STADIUM
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- NASA joins the Space Coast Stadium in Viera,
Fla., to celebrate Space Day on Thursday, March 8.
Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals spring training game with
the Houston Astros will start off with a blast as NASA Kennedy Space
Center Director Bob Cabana throws the first pitch.
Kennedy will have a booth at the stadium where representatives will
highlight some of the contributions the space agency has made to
sports, transportation and everyday life.
A full-scale test version of NASA's new Orion Multi-Purpose Crew
Vehicle also will be located outside the stadium to show the public
the spacecraft that will take astronauts farther into space than ever
