RE: About Implementation of Clear Task Set

Hi,

With reference to the previous question about TST bit,

How should the target handle task management commands with multiple initiators and TST bit 0 (i.e only one task set) ?
Does this TST bit have any significance to task mgmt commands processing also ?

Thanks

The TST bit defines if the Task set contains tasks from all initiators or only the initiator from which the Clear Task Set came.
It is a mode-set bit on the target not a "per-command" field (see SPC3).

About Implementation of Clear Task Set

Hi All,
Currently we are developing iSCSI Layer and emulating the SCSI layers at
initiator and at target. We are supporting the task management function
"Clear Task Set".

The explanation in the draft section 10.5 says:
"CLEAR TASK SET - aborts all Tasks in the appropriate task set as defined by
the TST field in the Control mode page"

What is the significance of TST field? And How the task set with same TST
field will be aborted?

Thanks & Regards
Manohar.
