Ubuntu 5.10 and iscsi

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get iScsi working on Ubuntu linux 5.10..

I'm running with the following kernel:

Linux devserver01 2.6.12-10-686-smp #1 SMP Sat Mar 11 16:41:12 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

Now, I downloaded the full linux-iscsi-4.0.2 package, as I want to compile it as a module, downloaded the kernel source file and copied / boot/config-2.6.12-10-686-smp to /usr/src/linux/.config too

I then set TOPDIR to /usr/src/linux and type compile and get the following message:

joe@devserver01:/usr/src/linux-iscsi-4.0.2$ make

Note: using kernel source from /usr/src/linux containing kernel version

Note: using kernel config from /usr/src/linux/.config

make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.12-10-686-smp/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [module] Error 2

I tried building a new kernel, in case that directory is created and populated during that process, but it didn't help.

Any one got any pointers?
