I'm using open-iscsi-0.3rc7-383 and kernel 2.6.12.4. I will apply the patch and rebuild the modules.

oh shoot. 5.0.0.0.3rc6-363 is a little old. You should get these 
http://open-iscsi.org/. And the current tarball looks like it will only 
work with 2.6.13-rc5 and up and 2.6.12.
