Re: 5.0.0.0.3rc6-363 help: running IO to a target

Nate Iverson wrote:
How do I run IO to an ISCSI LUN in lk2.6? Specifically, what is the /dev naming convention for the iSCSI LUN?

By defualt we use whatever your distro runs which is probably udev.

I have an active session.

[root@co-sanbs10 usr]# ./iscsiadm
Active sessions:
[00:0db902] 172.18.64.182:3260,1 iqn.2001-04.com.pillar:co-sanbs7.hdb

[root@co-sanbs10 usr]# cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: IET Model: VIRTUAL-DISK Rev: 0
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 04

Is there more to this log? From this snippet you know the host, channel, id and lun so you can search through sysfs.

[root@co-sanbs10 usr]# fdisk /dev/sda
Unable to open /dev/sda

I can run IO using the following dt command line on lk2.4. I'm running IO to the raw partition.

dt of=/dev/sda1 bs=16m capacity=1g passes=inf

172.18.64.182:3260 is a Linux iSCSI Enterprise Target that I can access using lk2.4 and linux-iscsi-3.6.3
