Hi, I am looking into setting up a SAN and found iSCSI. I have a couple of questions just to make sure my config will work. I have a back end storage server running linux 2.6.12 with a md device ie.. /dev/md0 I want to have 3 front end servers also running linux 2.6.12 to mount the iSCSI device and be able to access that device from all three servers at the same time. Next question is do you have any file system preferences for this type of operation, I was wanting to use ext3?
If the three servers are going to access the same lun at the same time you may want to use a cluster/share-storage file system like GFS running over iSCSI.
