I'd strongly prefer the IETF to focus on going to places where we get work done and where costs can be controlled. I'd prefer to avoid tourist destinations to some extent even if they are not more expensive, but definitely if they are. I want to present a professional image to my clients and I want to go to IETf meetings with people who are there to get work done, not to tour.
