olav is being subtly sarcastic. what he's really trying to say is that
the people who work on GTK development tend to be *much* more
responsive to things being reported at bugzilla.gnome.org than on this
(or any other) mailing list.

a report there saying "docs do not indicate what to replace
g_foo_bar() with" is hugely more likely to lead to a resolution of
this sort of thing than continued emails, which are generally ignored.
