In the gtk suite, the program gtk-update-icon-cache does not seem to honor it's " --force" flag. During an aborted make and trying again I receive the below: ----- back trace GDK_PIXBUF_MODULE_FILE=../gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf.loaders ./gtk-update-icon-cache --force --ignore-theme-index \ --source builtin_icons stock-icons > gtkbuiltincache.h.tmp && \ mv gtkbuiltincache.h.tmp gtkbuiltincache.h gtk-update-icon-cache: Failed to open file stock-icons/.icon-theme.cache : File exists make[2]: *** [gtkbuiltincache.h] Error 1 N.B. This only happens after an "invalid cache" make. That means to me that "gtk-update-cache" is erroneously parsing its arguments.
