GNU compilation, need help to run program.

Dear Mr. or Ms.,

I have download GNU under the following directory:

                    /home/norman/Downloads/classpath-0.91

after that, I have compiled configure by this command:

                  ./configure --prefix=/opt/gnu_ -with-jikes

and configure run file running perfectly, but I cannot run Makefile by this command 'make'
following information is showned:

                   norman@ubuntu:~/Downloads/classpath-0.91$ make
                   make: Nothing to be done for `native'.

can you please help me out how, I can solve this problem.
