Indeed, I do have a copyright assignment. It's just that I can't find my 
username/passwd for commits. So I guessed it'd be easier to ask you guys.

As for the patch, I followed the 1.6 rule, which throws an exception. If 
it's not the case anymore with 1.7, I'm still glad I made you notice the 
bug :)
