Re: GIMP 2.4.2 open file is very slow

Does this slowness happen for all images, or just one in particular?
If it happens for just one image, is there something peculiar with it?
Could you make it available on the web somewhere?

What happens if you save the image as png, quit GIMP, restart GIMP and
open the png file instead? Is that equally slow?
