Not bad, well done on working it out. See how the light source for the group shot is from the left and the man's is from the right? You could do a mirror swap on his image so that the light source appears from the left. The other thing is that his image has less contrast than the group's. One way to fix that is to duplicate his layer and and play around with the extra layer over the top of his layer. Try burning, adding contrast,changing the opaqueness etc, of the top layer. (It's not always obvious to newcomers that there's nothing to stop you duplicating an image and fiddling around with the copy on top of the original -- it can add subtle effects to the overall image.) Finally, for the merge of the man and the group, you could read up on masks. It would be very easy to make a mask of the people in the group shot and the man's image would appear behind the group without the need for erasing and blending.
