hang while loading fonts. (read FAQ no luck)

Hi...

I recently downloaded the GIMP 2.4RC3, but, I'm having troubles...

GIMP hang like crazy, while it load the fonts. I did everything 
http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/faq.html told me to, with no luck.

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate.
Also it might be important (I don't know), but, under my user name 
directory, I got both a ".gimp-2.2" and a ".gimp-2.4" directory...
And I deleted the ".fonts.cache-1" file, so it's no longer there...

I'm really sorry, bother you with a known problem, but, did try the 
known solutions, with no luck...

Anyone got any suggestions to fix the problem?
