If I had written my own post more clearly, this is the
case I would have wanted to describe.  I forgot to mention
that I had to set a delay to trigger this bug.

The only difference between this case and my own is that he's
opening the Image menu from the right-click menu, whereas 
I'm opening Xtns | Script Fu | Misc from the toolbox menu.

Regardless, it's probably a manifestation of the same bug,
as I get the same error under very similar circumstances.
