[Gimp-user] Poor quality ps file representation | |

I am trying to convert a Postscriipt (PS) file to gif to use as an example of typesetting on my web page. Unfortunately the quality of the fonts suffers greatly in the translation to gif. I have used densities up to 300 dpi. The font is Palatino type 1. The producing software is tex followed by dvips. I have tried both grayscale and black and white. Acrobat reader by contrast displays the file with excellent results. Any hints for a Gimp user just limping along?? John Culleton
