Hi Neil - Here's how: 1. Image/Mode/RGB 1.a In Layers and Channels, select Add Alpha Channel if it isn't grayed out. 2. Select the magic wand tool from the toolbar and click in the white area 3. In the image window, Edit/Cut (Ctl-X, if you like kbd shortcuts). 4. File/Save As... and save it as a .gif again. It will warn you about indexed image formats, etc., but this should do it.
