[Gimp-user] Using fonts

  I just discovered the logo capability with The GIMP, but I'm puzzled by
my inability to use fonts that are installed on my system.

  Checking the web site's fonts page, I made sure that my font directories
match those shown there (with the addition of a TrueType directory on my
system). I have Bitstream Type1 fonts installed, but when I call them by
name (e.g., "BakerSignet"), I get an error message that the font is not
found.

  Please explain this to me and let me know what I need to do to use the
fonts installed on my RH 6.2 systems with The GIMP.
