okay I'm reallly sorry if this is a huge RTFM but here goes:

I am fairly new to some graphics tuning items so thus with a friends
help who is fairly kick butt in photoshop we undertook to help me
understand the tutorial on Threshold ( for creating natural masks ) at
the savvy-gimp site..

we couldn't figure it out  so I don't feel bad..unless she just wasn't
into it at the moment which is poossible she was sorta
baby-sitting..har..

anyway I can't get past the copy/paste..( copy image into mask ) part of
the tutorial...can't get it to work.

any help appreciated
