since the graph lines are simple to deal with you should be able to change their color then take them out. and clean up the drawing lines that got erased, but it might be a problem any way. Good luck.

Hoping to find some suggestions here. I have been tasked with digitizing hand-drawn diagrams (pencil on graph paper). I have scanned one of the images, which were originally photocopied, so there is no color differentiation between the graph lines and the penciled diagrams. I would like to get rid of the graph lines, and harvest just the hand-drawn diagrams. Any suggestions on how to approach this using GIMP?
