But I am still puzzled why your installation of GIO/GVFS doesn't handle http: requests. I will get a new computer at work this week and it will run Ubuntu Hardy. I will check if I can reproduce the problem there. In the meantime I have also added a check for the local user manual installation. So if a user requests help and the manual is not installed, she will see a dialog asking if she wants to use the online version instead.
