i just got handed a software build structure to look after, and it uses a commercial form of lint (flexelint): http://www.gimpel.com/html/flex.htm i took a quick look for the standard lint command, and didn't find it on my "everything install" version of FC3, or at www.rpmfind.net. is lint gone? has it been subsumed into gcc? obviously, it's been a while since i've bothered to use it, now i don't know where to look for it. rday
