Had noticed that pcscd failed to start after a default test installation..
Digging into it further revealed
# pcscd -f
00000000 hotplug_libhal.c:584:HPRegisterForHotplugEvents() Couldn't
obtain list of devices
00000037 pcscdaemon.c:601:main() HPRegisterForHotplugEvents failed
so it turnes out it needs hal which we don't install by default and hal
is hal not being deprecated?
Does anyone have any information on what the future has pcsc-lite and
should it not be removed from Gnome installs?
