Instead of this, I inserted the following two lines:
    ("9", _("Router Advertisement")),
    ("10", _("Route Solicitation")),

gipt loads the rules using iptables-save, and after
adding/editing/deleting rules, it applies the rules through
iptables-restore. 
It is a front end, a graphical user interface to iptables.
I hope this is an answer to the question.
