kdump on ia64 with 2.6.20-rc4 > no vmcore ? | |

Hello all, I try kdump with 2.6.20-rc4 kernel from kernel.org. I successfully reboot on the debug kernel after c sys-rq but I have an error : Kdump: vmcore not initialized I can not access the /proc/vmcore with crash or gdb. In the source code, it can be in parse_crash_elf_headers, parse_crash_elf64_headers or other, but I have no more messages from the kernel. How can I check that the elfcorehdr_addr has been passed correctly by the crashed kernel ? Did you already see this kind of problem ? Is there an other patch to apply on the kernel or kernel.org is the only source to have kdump working ? Thanks Best regards Benoit
