RE: Epson 3000 paper feed problems

If printing a large quantity unattended is important then I can't even
sell you a clue, BUT the method that has worked well for us (same paper
feed problems) is to press the paper load button. For some reason, a
manual button press to put the paper in print position does not shoot
the paper through the 3000 unprinted.
Hope this works.

This occurs when the uptake rollers get slick due to paper dust and
dirt.
When the paper doesn't enter the printer on time, it detects a misfeed
and
ejects the paper. This happens for the two 3000s that I use. The only
method
I know for a work around is to give the paper a nudge by hand at the
moment
the uptake rollers grab. Cleaning the rollers helps me temporarily,
sometimes only for a few sheets. I'm hoping to find a sticky compound,
like
a liquid form of PostIt note adhesive to give the rollers a better grip.

Maybe there is a sensor inside the printer that is contaminated which
could
lead to this problem? But this is just a guess.
