Re: C80 and fine art prints

<x-html><!x-stuff-for-pete base="" src="" id="0" charset="">
We're using our new C80 almost exclusively for fine art prints. Some are photos of original art, others are original digital images which tend to be "flatter," with fairly simple colors.

We're finding that the paper and the settings make a *huge* difference. We've been using Great White Imaging & Photo Paper, Matte Finish. The setting we use on the C80 is usually Archival Matte paper with 720dpi. We experiment a lot, because the printed result seldom looks exactly like what's on the monitor. But it usually looks great anyway.

We have also used Saunders hot press art paper a little bit. The Automatic setting is the most predictable, though we've also used the Archival Matte setting, which made the image come out much darker then we expected, but very nice.
has anyone used the C80 to print out fine art images, and if so, what setting
would you use for the photo paper?

i vaguely remember reading somewhere that there is a special setting for the
paper that one needs to use [that is NOT the Glossy Photo Paper setting] or
the black in an image that you are printing, won't come out...... or
something to that effect
