<x-charset iso-8859-1>Friends - I have been trying to create a color profile using ProfilerPLUS and my HP Scanjet 5300C scanner. Printing out the color samples on paper, with my humble Epson Color Stylus 740, the output is already rather close to the look of the original color sample. However, when *scanning* that printout with the HP scanner, back into the computer, the resulting file has some serious distortions, particularly in the low values. I tried driving the scanner with Vuescan instead of the HP software, and while Vuescan seems to coax a slightly better image out of the scanner, the resulting scanned image contains diagonal lines throughout... huh ? I am running Windows2000 professional. Any insights would be very much appreciated ! Best wishes, Ken Lee Has anyone experienced this, - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
