Help!
I have an Epson 1200 with CIS, am an advanced user in ICC workflow,
Mac based. Used Generations Pigment Inks for a year, excellent results
and no problems. Switched to Cone Piezography Color Pigment inkset
because the free profiles looked attractive, and I needed to
re-purchase inks and didn't want to pay for re-profiling to the
Generations Enhanced.
I purchased new CIS carts and tubes, filled properly with Cone Inks.
It took a lot of cleaning cycles for a good test pattern, then I printed
several pages of a home-made CMYK ramp purge pattern. Things went well,
but clogs became more and more persistent. Now I seem hopelessly
clogged, no matter how many times I try. I have tried Windex on the
parking pad overnight, windex on paper towel under print heads for
several hours, all to no avail. I have wasted a huge amount of the Cone
pigs with only a few final prints to show for it. I'm annoyed at them,
and myself for falling for the hype.
Can anyone suggest how to un-clog the 1200? I want to switch back to
Generations. Feel free to e-mail me off-list.
