<x-flowed>I find I'm hopelessly confused in controlling color output from a 1270 (via a Mac) and desperately need some help. Previously I had used an Alps MD-2300 (thermal wax printer) whose color output was readily controlled by a set of sliders analogous to those available via the 1270 driver. Print color was sensitive to small slider canges (1 unit difference often was noticeable) and control of output color without a printer profile was rather simple. When I try the same approach with the 1270 slider changes don't lead to the color changes I expected and wanted. So my question is, "How does one vary the output color (i.e., tweak) of a 1270?" My settings are: media type = heavyweight matte mode = custom print space = same as source (what effect do different choices have on final color?) color management = color controls, with mode = photorealistic. What am I doing wrong, and how do I do it right? Must I always choose an Epson media type (suppose I use a non-Epson paper)? Why is the media type present on both the first and second screens of the Epson driver? Many thanks for your help. -- Gene Snyder eisnyde@sedona.net - Turn off HTML mail features.
