<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hi This is my first posting so apologies if you've already covered this topic. I'm an ex-profess photographer, now into digital imaging, and live in Kendal on the edge of the English Lake District. I was particularly interested in Geoffrey Goldberg's feedback on Piezography since I'm on the edge of trying it myself. Unfortunately, I bought an Epson 1290 based on an indication that a piezography driver was in development for it, now apparently not, so I too am considering an 1160. Geoff, have you seen Ian Lyon's review at http://www.rgbnet.co.uk/ilyons/piezo/piezo_1.htm A 'superb' range of tones is claimed for this process, but I'm not sure what is attributable to the paper used, particular printer, etc. Are you working at 8 or 16 bit? Does anyone know where I can get an Epson 1200 in the UK? Thanks Tony Riley tonril@ntlworld.com - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
