Jerry,
I have a few questions about your combination of MIS archival color inks
with the Generations beta black:

1. Does this combination give you a deeper black than you could achieve
using the MIS black?

2. Are you concerned about any possible chemical incompatibility between
the two brands (perhaps solvents, extenders, etc.) that might compromise
the archival qualities?

3. You say you now have a profile that works well for you. Your ink
combination would seem to require a custom profile. How did you obtain the
profile?

4. Which paper are you using?

I have an Epson 1200 and have been considering the MIS and Generations
archival inks. The fact that MIS has a few profiles available on their web
site is an advantage for me (for example, they have a profile for their
inks with Somerset Enhanced paper for the 1200). With the Generations
inks, I would need to develop my own profile or pay someone to derive one
for me.

Many thanks,
*Rick Stare
