<x-charset ISO-8859-1>From: Judith Barnett <pooh4jvn@pacbell.net> Subject: Changing printer carts >I just recently purchased the 1270 and the color cart indicator is just telling me to change the cart. Does this need to be done immediately is there still print time left? The nozzle check still indicates that all the colors are available. Judith< You're pretty safe in running the cartridge until the printer says it is completely out and the flashing light turns solid. There are right many prints left after the light starts blinking. Seens like I remember that if the printing stops in the middle of a print it will pick up and continue after a new cartridtge is put in.....? Even then there is still some ink in the cartridge and some have used one of the reset proceedures to print even after that. There is some danger in doing this as it could possibly damage the print heads. Most of those doing this have a good idea of how far to push it. For the average user it is probably an unnecessary risk.
