Photoshop tags my files with sRGB since this is the space I use. So any file
I send out is tagged so even if the person running the printing doesn't know
what happening if the printer looks for a color space id in the file it will
find one.

Don't really understand the question. You may be referring to a
default setting in which software developers have been forced to use
if it's going to wear a Microsoft compatible label as I understand
it. This is often a totally incorrect assumption of the device
independent RGB color space in which the file came from. >>
