<x-charset Windows-1252>Jim: I haven't been following this thread, but can help on the pizza wheels marks. Normally, one doesn't see them at all on matte type papers, but with the glossy surfaces. Open the lid of your printer. The row of small black 'wheels' that are across the machine are in pairs and if you look closely, you can see the metal 'pizza wheels' inbetween. These will puncture through the gloss of some papers, especially in the dark areas if I remember correctly. Sooo, what you see with them is a row of perforations, or dots, from front to back on the print. Thus, you are right in assuming that they would not be 'across' the print. Neither would they appear as any sort of banding. For printers that have this problem (badly), it can be resolved by simply putting a thin washer (usually 1/32 inch) under each end of the metal plate that holds them. Hope you find a 'fix' for your problem. bob snow -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Warthman" <jim.warthman@affinity-systems-inc.com> My question is about the pizza-wheel issue. I have never paid much attention to it, so I don't really know what it looks like. I have the impression that pizza wheel tracks don't run across the page, they run "down" the page. If this is true, I'm dealing with something else... -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- LINKS: Epson FAQ Site: http://home.att.net/~arwomack01/ Epson List Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/epson-inkjet/ - Turn off HTML mail features.
