<x-charset iso-8859-1>On some 1270/ 1280/ 2000p printers with CPiezo ink a "misting" effect occurs with the cyan and/ or magenta ink. This is evidenced by a spray of the offending color appearing just beyond and on one side of the image and for some, banding. After testing, the NoMoreCarts folks determined that the problem does not reside in the CIS, but rather is related to how the ink is reacting in the printhead itself. Apparently the Epson cyan and magenta heads have different voltages ... which is the point where I get lost ... . The estimate now is that this is happening on about 20% of printers using this setup, but who knows? Anyway, for the record, I am using a 1280/NoMoreCarts CIS/CPiezo combo and its been trouble-free.
