The big thing to remember about the medium format vs 35mm wedding Q is
that the original conclusions were made prior to C41 negative materials,
when C22 processed negative grain in 35mm negs was bad- it was bad in
medium format too, but you didn't require as much magnification to make
a given sized print. Todays high quality films make most of these
arguements moot- a 35mm neg will deliver sufficient quality for 8 x 10
and larger prints.Since the medium format investment was already there,
most photographers continued telling their clients that they needed
medium format for quality. Now the story is changing. Unwilling to spend
$15,000 to $25,000 for a medium format digital back, 35mm digital camara
output(at $3,000 to $7,000) is fine. And yes, it is. But so is 35mm neg. Paul
